Karnataka NEET 2025 seat-group opportunity profiles

The clearest verified pattern is that historical closing-rank profiles differed sharply by seat group and round. Government, Private, Other and NRI seats must be read separately—these figures are not one pooled Karnataka cutoff.

Median observed closing AIR by seat group

Each median is calculated only within its own round and seat group. Sample size (n) is the number of canonical college-programme-seat-group-category keys.

What the evidence supports

  • • Government median closing AIR increased from 68,732 in R1 to 81,050 in R2 and 93,164 in R3 within the Government profile.
  • • Private median closing AIR moved from 109,956 in R1 to 138,080 in R2, then remained similar at 137,110 in R3.
  • • “Other” seats formed a distinct high-rank profile and must not be merged with Private or NRI seats.
  • • The evidence does not support an exact Government-versus-Private gap because zero same-round, same-college, same-programme and same-category pairs existed across seat groups.

Methodology and limitations

Scope: verified Karnataka NEET 2025 MBBS records for Rounds 1, 2 and 3 using NEET All India Rank. The dataset covers 75 categories and four seat groups.

Canonical key: round + college + programme + seat group + category. When a key contained multiple source rows, the maximum observed AIR was used as the observed closing rank. This collapsed 1,930 multi-row keys; the canonical duplicate check returned zero.

Round coverage differs: R1 has 1,625 exact keys, R2 has 1,672 and R3 has 347. Therefore, a round-to-round change in a group median is descriptive and is not a matched-key movement estimate.

Historical cutoffs are not admission guarantees. Rules, seat matrices, demand and candidate behaviour can change. Confirm current information with the Karnataka Examinations Authority.

Frequently asked questions

What was the median Government-seat closing AIR in Karnataka NEET 2025?

Across the verified exact keys, the Government seat-group median was 68,732 in Round 1, 81,050 in Round 2 and 93,164 in Round 3.

What was the median Private-seat closing AIR?

The Private seat-group median was 109,956 in Round 1, 138,080 in Round 2 and 137,110 in Round 3. These are historical profile summaries, not predictions.

Can Government, Private, Other and NRI medians be compared as an exact gap?

No. The evidence contained no exact same-round, same-college, same-programme and same-category pairs across seat groups, so AdmiScan does not publish a direct gap statistic.

Why is the Round 3 NRI figure excluded from the headline conclusion?

Only one canonical NRI exact key was available in Round 3. A one-key median is not a stable seat-group profile, so it is shown only with an explicit sample-size warning.
