COMEDK 2025 cutoff movement by round

AdmiScan analysed 2,109 usable COMEDK 2025 closing-rank rows across 4 rounds. Among 673 exact college-branch-category-quota-gender-pool combinations observed in at least two rounds, 543 finished at a higher closing rank than where they started.

What changed across COMEDK rounds?

A higher closing rank means the same seat-pool combination remained available to a numerically larger rank. In this dataset, 80.7% of matched combinations moved that way between their first and last observed round.

16.5% moved to a lower closing rank, while 2.8% were unchanged. The median first-to-last movement was 18,747 ranks and the arithmetic average was 20,170.8 ranks.

This is not a reason to assume every branch becomes easier later. COMEDK movement varies by college, branch and seat pool, and 111 matched combinations actually became more competitive.

How to use this in COMEDK choice filling

Historical movement can help you keep realistic stretch choices above safer options instead of deleting them only because Round 1 looked out of reach.

But later-round movement is uneven. Keep enough realistic and safer choices below your ambitious options because the same 2025 movement may not repeat.

Methodology and source coverage

AdmiScan's verified 2025 COMEDK dataset contains 2,109 usable cutoff rows covering 148 college names, 75 branch labels,2 categories and 4 rounds.

Comparison keys preserve the same college, branch, category, quota and gender pool. That produced 673combinations observed in at least two rounds, with no duplicate round-key groups in the evidence extract.

Source-URL coverage for the analysed rows is 100%. The rows map to official COMEDK 2025 Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Round 4 cutoff PDFs. Historical cutoffs are evidence, not guarantees of future allotment.
