What changed across Kerala NEET phases?

75.6% of exact matched combinations had a numerically higher Kerala State Medical Rank in their last observed phase than in their first. 23.0% were unchanged and 1.4% finished at a lower rank.

The median first-to-last movement was 1,100 ranks and the arithmetic average was 2,769.9 ranks.

That pattern does not mean every seat becomes easier later. Movement depends on college, course, seat group and category, and some combinations became more competitive.

How to use this in Kerala NEET choice filling

Historical movement can help you keep sensible stretch choices above realistic and safer options rather than deleting them only because an early-phase cutoff looks out of reach.

Do not assume the same movement will repeat. Seat group, category, programme and college-specific vacancy patterns can change.

Methodology and source coverage

The analysed dataset contains 2,325 verified 2025 cutoff rows across 60 colleges, MBBS and BDS,5 seat groups, 30 categories and 3 counselling phases.

Comparisons preserve the same college, programme, seat group, category and rank metric. The rank metric in this analysis is Kerala State Medical Rank, not NEET AIR. That produced 778 comparable combinations with zero duplicate round-key groups.

Source-URL coverage is 100%. The analysed rows map to official Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala 2025 last-rank PDFs for the First, Second and Third Phases. Historical cutoffs are evidence, not guarantees.
